Hand-picked on the early hours of 7 January 2017 at a temperature of minus 11.5° C. Brilliant golden yellow. Delightful fragrance and taste with purity; aromas of pineapple, peach and orange. Crystal clear and the structure, sweetness and acidity are supple and elegant, and remarkably delicate. Great play of subtle tobacco notes make this exceptional sweet wine stimulating. The classic pairing for puddings, such as Salzburger Nockerln, Austrian ‘Mohntorte‘ poppyseed cake, nut cake and Germknödel - large sweet dumpling filled with a sweet plum sauce. The combination is best when the wine is more luscious than the dessert. A fine pairing to mature blue cheese, as well as to a cigar. Due to its lively freshness, it is a perfect match to goose liver terrine.
